πŸŽ‰ And that’s a wrap for Develop 2024! πŸŽ‰

Thoughts on the event

This year’s conference was an incredible experience, filled with insightful talks and roundtables, an exciting Expo, the inspiring Indie Showcase competition, and a night celebrating the best and brightest in our industry.

Our colleague Neil Soane has penned his thoughts on the event, capturing the highlights and key takeaways:

β€œYet another Develop: Brighton is over and we had a great time seeing friends old and new plus catching up on the latest trends and news from the industry we love. It was great to see that Develop was pretty much full again and although it has taken over most of the Metropole now the rabbit warren of bars, rooms, nooks and crannies were all full of people chatting about games, catching up and trying to work out if England were going to progress past The Netherlands in the Euros (spoiler alert, we did!) Whether the hotel is getting towards capacity is another question, it did feel cramped at times so I wonder if somewhere larger may be needed?

I have been attending Develop in Brighton since the start as being my home city I don’t have to travel far to get there but I noticed a real increased mix of nationalities and languages there which is great to see. I am proud of Brighton and it’s progressive, welcoming approach and it’s great to see so many people experiencing that for themselves.

We had some great meetings with current and potential new partners (for us they are not clients, they are so much more than that). It’s not all about the business side, for us that is important but just as important is the sharing of ideas, ways to improve and the feeling of belonging to such a vibrant and engaging industry. At Quantic Lab we like to share the camaraderie and welcoming nature of our HQ in Romania and try to take that experience to partners all around the world. With my colleague Noelia attending with me this year it was great to see her networking with potential partners and embracing the chaos that is Develop.

If I missed you at the show, I apologise but feel free to contact me via our website and we can catch up. Here’s to Develop: Brighton ’25 and all that happens in between.

Neil”

Thank you to everyone who made this event unforgettable. See you next year from 8 to 10 July in Brighton!
