This policy explains how Quantic Lab treats the personal data we collect from our users when they access our website. We are comitted to transparency, and this policy includes everything you need to know about how Quantic Lab and/or its affiliates, subsidiaries, process and protect the personal data and which rights you have in relation to the processing of your personal data.
This privacy policy is effective as of April 12th, 2021. Please note that this privacy statement will regularly be updated to reflect any changes in the way we handle your personal data or any changes in applicable laws.
Quantic Lab attaches great importance to your right to privacy and the protection of your personal data. We want you to feel secure that your personal data are in good hands.
Quantic Lab protects your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and our data privacy policies. In addition, we maintain the appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and/or against accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access, or accidental or unlawful destruction of or damage thereto.

Personal data that we collect
Personal data is information about your identity. This includes, but is not limited to information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, personal data and information contained in your Curriculum Vitae (education information and professional or employment-related information). If the data we collect are not listed in this privacy statement, we will give individuals (when required by law) appropriate notice of which other data will be collected and how they will be used. Furthermore, we only collect, store and process data that you provide us voluntarily and, if applicable, data that we collect automatically when you visit our Internet pages (e.g. your IP address and the names of the pages you call up, the browser you use and your operating system, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files). If you make use of our services, we only collect data necessary to provide the services. If we ask you for further data, this is provided on a voluntary basis to provide the requested service and to protect our own legitimate business interests.
We do not generally collect sensitive data (also known as special categories of personal data) through this site or otherwise. The term “sensitive data” refers to the various categories of personal data identified by data privacy laws as requiring special treatment, as stated in the EU GDPR Regulation.
Persons under the age of 16 years should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. We do not request personal data from children and young people, do not collect such data and do not pass it on to third parties. Parents or guardians are responsible for protecting the privacy of their children. Parents and guardians are requested to talk to their children about the safe and responsible use of their personal data on the Internet.

Purpose of processing your data
Quantic Lab uses your personal data only where required for specific purposes. In general, we use the personal data you provide for the purpose of replying to your requests submitted via our Contact Form and in order to initiate and process your job application via our Job Application Form, or comply with legal obligations required by law. It may be necessary for us to use this personal data to inform you about promotional offers such as newsletters or employment offers, to inform winners of online contests, if applicable or to conduct online surveys in order to enhance and personalize your website experience. Of course, we will respect your wishes if you do not wish to provide us with your personal data to support our customer relationship (especially for direct marketing or market research purposes). We will neither sell your personal data to third parties nor market it in any other way.
The legal basis for the processing of your data in connection with these specific purposes is your express consent in accordance to Art. 6 para. 1 a) of the Regulation (Eu) 2016/679 Of The European Parliament And Of The Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”), granted when providing personal data onto our website by sending the Contact Form and Job Application Form, and accepting our Cookie Policy. You can revoke this consent at any time in the cookie settings and through a request submitted via our Contact Form. Revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation. The personal data provided for processing job applications, is also justified on the basis of our legitimate interests for ensuring that we recruit the appropriate employees.

Intended use of personal data
We will collect, process and use the personal data you provide online only for the purposes communicated to you above. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties. The collection of personal data and its transmission to state institutions and authorities entitled to receive information will only take place within the framework of the relevant laws or if we are obliged to do so by a court decision, and any such transmission if it is the case shall take place after ensuring that your personal data will be given adequate protection as required by relevant data privacy laws.

Data that is collected when you visit our Internet pages
When you use our Internet pages, information is automatically sent to the server of our website by the browser used on your terminal device. This information is temporarily stored in log files. The following information is recorded without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- the address of the page of our website that you have called up;
- the browser you use
- IP address of your terminal device;
- date and time of access;
- search engines used
- properties of your end device, especially the operating system
We use these log files to detect, eliminate or prevent possible disturbances or attacks on our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 f) of GDPR (balancing of interests, based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the technical functionality of our website). Data security and retention
We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All our employees and all persons involved in data processing are obliged to comply with the laws relevant to data protection and to handle personal data confidentially. If personal data is collected and processed, the information is transmitted in encrypted form to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. Our security measures are continuously revised in line with technological developments.
We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary, in according to the specific purposes set out in this policy, for as long as needed in order to comply with our legal obligations.

User’s data protection rights
Every user in entitled to the following: on request, you have the right to access your personal data or ask for a copy. If the legal requirements are met, you have the right to correct, restrict the processing or request deletion of your personal data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data (this right entitles you to request that Quantic Lab no longer processes your personal data) and request portability of your personal data (this right entitles you to receive a copy in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, of the personal data you have provided to Quantic Lab, or request Quantic Lab to transmit such personal data to another data controller. You also have the right to withdraw consent, when given, at any time and without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent given prior to the withdrawal. Withdrawal of your consent shall be done according to this policy, as stated in Section 2 above. You also have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority for data protection responsible for where you live, work or where an alleged infringement has occurred. We inform you that request of deletion of data are subject to current legal requirements to retain documents imposed on us by laws and regulations, if applicable. You can request the deletion of personal data if the legal requirements are met, by submitting your request to Quantic Lab in this respect, by using the means available on our website, contact form and contact e-mail address. You can exercise any of your rights at any time sending an email to the address mentioned in the Contact information chapter.
